Here is my situation. I have copied a movie to my hard drive. Now I want to “burn” it on a DVD. I have been told to make a data DVD. I have copied the folder Video_TS and all the contents to the DVD. It plays fine on my computer with the Menus and all but I need it to play on a home player. I get an error message that it can not read this type of disc. I am using a Double Layer DVD with a Sony Double Layer burner. What can I do to make it play in my home DVD player? Thanks! Alan
Check what your DVD player will take for media ! and burn it according to what you find it says ! Look at your User's manual for the DVD player.
I'm using a DVD+r DL. The manual says it burns them. It plays fine on computer but not on a stand alone.
The manual for the DVD player is long since gone. According to the burner, it should play on *most* DVD players. I have tried 4 different types and all have the same failed result.
<<smiles>> look up the model number of that player and google it , so you can at least check the web for specifications ! It's not the burner that decides if its gonna be read or not ! it's the player!
