how do i burn a cd to autorun, i have a program in an iso format but how do i burn it so it autorun.. do i just open the iso file with winiso and copy all the files and folders and burn then as data? of do i burn them as a bootable disk, i dont know the difference between the two options, if its one of them i use if not how do i burn it
Bootable means that you can boot off it (i.e., bypass windows when you turn your computer on). To make the CD autorunable you just need to add an autorun.inf file into the root folder. It should look something like this: [autorun] open=<whatever application you want to start> icon=<whatever icon is associated with the cd>
i dont know what the root folder is? is that where you place the files and folders on your hard drive to copy into the burning software? i dont know where the root directory is on the cd? does root directly mean that i burn the inf and exe file to the cd all bby them selves and not in a folder , just open... so where do they go? no clue! then as long as there in the right place i just do a data burn?
