hello i have about 300 movies on dvd and i would like to know if i can buy a blu ray recorder so i can burn my dvd`s to a blu ray disk as i know i could get more than one movie on a blu ray disk? i thought also of getting a playstation3 to play the movies. thank you.
Yes, you can do that... Do you need chapters or subtitles? If you don't really need them, then the easiest way would be to extract the video and audio streams into a mpeg2 (program stream) container and just burn as many movies that will fit onto a BD-R (at least 5 or so). If you do want chapters and subs, then maybe you can use tsMuxeR to create Blu-ray compliant files. I don't know if tsMuxeR can work with SD media as I haven't tried it. See this thread for any applications (including tsMuxeR) or advice that you need... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/639346 I do have a question though, why do you want to do this? A spindle of 50 DVD-R's can be bought for about the same price as one BD-R! If you're lucky you might fit 5 or 6 DVD movies onto a Blu-ray disc. Burning onto Blu-ray will be a much more expensive exercise.
can we just drag and drop the files on to bd if the softy let u i have cyberlink hidef suite v4 there's a option bdav is it help me please help
