Friend of mine is having problems burning Verbatim DVD+R-DL discs. I've no experience of these but I know they're a good disc and bought from a reputable supplier in the UK. The odd thing is that he has had success with these discs before (a different batch). I've checked both a good burn and a bad one and they both code out as MKM 001. The burn log is below. Any pointers would be much appreciated. . . . cut off disc at once and cut on high compatability mode. i would also recomend finalizing the disc(unless u want a multi-session disc) and setting booktype to dvdrom. the power calibration error could mean u need to clean ur burner lense or it doesnt like the media. be sure ur firmware is up to date.better yet, try using imgburn with dl media, thats what i use.
