.: Hello. I have searched the threads here to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem but found nothing directly related to my concern. I am using Nero Burning ROM 7.11.10.0, and as of this morning, the time taken to burn a DVD has gone from ~4-5 minutes to ~35 minutes. It was fine until this morning. I have burned hundreds of discs for years w/o this problem ever appearing once. I have no idea why this is suddenly happening. The only other anomaly I have experienced repeatedly is that Nero will not burn DVD+R DL discs, even though Nero InfoTool 4 indicates that DVD+R DL is a supported drive feature. The last time I tried to burn at DVD+R DL disc was yesterday, so don't know if the two issues are related. I am using a Windows machine with XP Service Pack 3. According to my Device Manager, my DVD drive is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH20NS10. Nero InfoTool indicates that the Read and Write speeds of the drive are both 16.0X. If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this, I would be very grateful for your advice and assistance. Thank you and kind regards.

.: Sorry to revisit this thread, but I noticed this afternoon that my burning time has doubled, from ~4-5 minutes to about 8 minutes. I checked my DMA and it is turned on on the Primary and Secondary IDE channels (I have three of each for some reason). Any ideas why my burning time has suddenly doubled? I am still using Nero Burning ROM 7.11.10.0, and the drive speed is still 16.0X. Thank you.
Um, I just noticed that the status during a burn is "Writing at 8x (11,080 KB/s)". How do I change that back to 16x, assuming this is the problem? Thanks in advance for your help.
