All seems to go well and the disc ejects.. So I put disc back in computer to see if it works.. It only brings up a couple folders and have a lot of text files and some with notepad...No video files at all.? When in nero I can veiw the menus and everything looks great but not burning right for some reason.. If anyone knows what Im doing wrong please help.. because I've searched and it seems no one had this problem .. PLMK thanks

hi kalico, when u put a vcd in any pc u will see a bunch of folders and files no original mpeg, but it is still there in folder "MPEGAV" in this folder should be a .dat file named "avsq01". open that file with media player and u should find ur original movie. What does ur dvd player do when u insert the vcd u burned?

well when u put the disc in a dvd player the menu should pop up. Then u can skip tracks to start playing the disc. If ur dvd player says disc read error it probably doesn't support vcd. Have u tried it in any other dvd player?

I don't have any other dvd player but it doesn't work in my ps2...But Ps2 doesn't play vcd anyway.. My car player states that it plays vcd in the manual .. It just says it doesn't play dvd-r or dvd rw.. I dunno.. Is it the disc or the player thats acting up..?

okay kal, sounds like ur disc is fine but just in case what is ur source file and where did u get it. Of course if it wasn't a compatible mpeg u probably wouldn't have gotten this far, but i would like to know anyway. Have u tried encodeing a dvd to vcd then burning it and trying it in ur dvd player? Mostly im thinking ur dvd player doesn't really support vcds. Do u have a friend with a vcd compatible player?
