Hi All, i recently used the software dvdfab platinum to back up 3 different dvds.I thought im a newbie not gonna try any clever stuff just went straight for the full disc copy. All sucessffull but none will play in my car and this is what i want them for.The plan is to use musical videos as entertainment, i drive a private hire taxi with dvd players in it.I tried burning to 2 different types of disc and no luck.Im struggling trying to get any copy to play. Why if i copy any original using dvdfab and use the full disc chioce, why wont it play in the car ? Help please.
Do the burned DVD's play in your home, standalone DVD player and in your PC? Can the car player accept the type of disk (DVD-R or DVD+R)? Are you burning the disks at moderate (not maximum) speed?
They are playing on my PC ,dont have a stand alone here will have to wait till i visit my family.Thats the problem, i dont know what the car dvd player can or cant play.It plays originals no problem.Come to think of it one of the dvds i burned played on my sisters stand alone, again but wont play in the car.The car is a UK model Ford Galaxy TDI Ghia on a 53 model. Thanks
TRY USING DVD IDLE PRO WITH THE PROGRAM BECAUSE I USE PLATINUM # ALSO BUT NOT ALL OF THE TIME> I ALSO DO NOT HAVE A DVD PLAYER IN MY VAN < BUT I KNOW IT WORKS ON THE DVD PLAYER I HAVE AT HOME FOR MY TVI ONLY USE IT ON THE DVDS I PURCHASE BUT I WOULD TRY TO COPT DVDS FROM THE RENTEL STORE BUT I DON"T BECAUSE I THINK I MIGHT GET CAUGHT I GUESS I"M TOO HONEST
so how does it work here guys,do i just keep on downloading different programs and keep trying hoping i get lucky and one might work,or is there an easier way , if so please please let me know cos its cracking me up.I really am struggling to get my head round how i can copy a dvd original that works in my car using a program that claims to copy it in full, yet put it in the car and it wont play?.Have we not got a clone here if so what gives when it wont play but yet plays the original.I can only assume something is not getting copied from the original.Ive tried using 2 types of disc. dvd-rw and dvd+rw help please
robione, Evidentially your car player does not like RW disk. Try a (+)DVD and if your burner can, bitset the (+)DVD to a DVD-Rom. Car DVD players are a different breed of player. If that does not work then try (-)DVD. Make sure you are using quality blank media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden
Thanks for the replys people and for trying to help me.Car.mike,thanks m8,im a newbie here so +dvd i assume u mean a disk thats a recordable + as opposed to a recordable/rewritable+ which ive already tried.Gonna do some more reading on here as well m8 cos dont understand the bitset the+dvd to a dvd-rom unless u wanna advise me.Thanks again people.Im goin to buy the discs you suggest Verbatim / tayo yuden. So if i understand i should try the brands u named in dvd+ recordable only. Thanks again people
Heres a link to a thread you might like to check out...it's related to "Booktyping" (changing DVD+R to DVD-ROM) as mentioned by CarMike http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/1665
