I burned a successful backup of Mortal Kombat Armageddon, but about 10 minutes into the game, I get a dirty disk read error. The disk has about 2 minor scratches, and I don't know what could be causing the error. Would such small scratches cause this? Or is just the fact that I am using a crappy brand, Maxell. I really don't want to re-ftp the game to my CPU's HDD, download the programs, and wait an hour, just to see if it it is fixed. Could someone help me?

    Thanks!

scratches can cause it, even if they look little. Especially if they are deep. But your media choice can also do that, If the laser has a problem reading the disc then it will pop up that error during play.

Get some Verbatim 8X DVD-R media and copy it again. See if that sorts the problem out.
