I have a minor problem. For some reason, my friend's Xbox will read burned cds, but mine won't. I'll put a cd in his xbox, and it works, then try it on mine, and it doesn't. Both of us have modded xboxes, if that makes any difference.
That a perfectly normal reaction to any XBOX™ DVD-ROM Drive! You can only use CD-R\RW's or DVD±R\RW's or DVD RAM Media on the XBOX™ It could be that your Friend has a One of the rarer XBOX™ Models that came with a Samsung™ DVD-ROM Drive. Or was moded with a PC version of that Drive. As a 'General Rule of Thumb' you can not use CD-R's on the XBOX™. You are of couse welcome to try. If it works then wonderfull! But, the chances of that happening are against you!
Ok, I understand now. BUt, is there any way to get the pc software or whatever to get it to work on mine?
If you asking is there a way to get CD-R's to work on your XBOX™ the short answer is no. Not unless you you have a working understanding Electronics in this case the Laser Pickup that's in your XBOX™. It's a Hardware limittation of the DVD-ROM Drive itself, and there really nothing you can due about it...
