Hey all, Thanks for the knowledge in advance. I've noticed lately that my backups are stopping/freezing towards the end of the film. Is this a sign that my writer (Pioneer DVR s606) is losing something? Or is it my dvd player? I've cleaned the dvd player recently and the freezing still occurs. Plus the freezing also happens on my pc so it's definitely the disc. Any help would be appreciated. BB
Low quality media will cause these problems - what brand of media are you burning to? - Avoid Memorex totally (most unreliable media availabe) - try quality brands such as Verbatim, TY, Ritek. Other contributors to freezing/playback issues include burning too fast (4X recommended) and the use of paper labels on your burnt DVD's.
Hey all, I use Taiyo Yuden media. I've used these for quite some time and they always work really well. My setup is DVD Shrink 3.2 + DVD Decrytper 3.5.4 with the latest AnyDVD running in the background. Do you think it's a bad batch of discs or my writer? Or somthing else? By the way the freezing is temporary, the movie continues but it is annoying. Thanks BB
I played a dvd on another dvd player and it didn't stop/freeze at all. Maybe the dvd player I have is getting over used? I cleaned it a couple of days ago because of the freezing and it still happens. I have a sanyo dvd/vhs combo player by the way. Any similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks BB
Check your manual(s) and see if your player(s) are compatable with the type of disc(s) you are using....
