i have a lite-on sohw 1693s and it has suddenly started to scratch my discs. It does this when i`m burning discs and when im playing them. Any ideas why ?
Can you feel a burr on the drive tray? I would check with my fingers and see if there is something that is scuffed. If you can't find it, I would consider replacing the drive as scratched discs are not a good thing.
