Question for the smart kids - I have the external Iomega Super DVD (DVD+-RW, RAM, etc.); Model No.: DVDRW4224E2Q - the one that burns DVDRs at 4x and RWs at 2.4x. Okay, now my question: who makes it? and don't say Iomega cuz it ain't true. I hear NEC, but I need a definitive answer cuz I need to flash more recent firmware and Iomega's latest firmware apparently sucks the big one. Thanks.
Do a search for DVDINFOPRO (free download) It should tell you everything you want to know about your drive such as Name, manufacturer, firmware version. speed tests, etc. It will also do the same on blank media. Great little program. Jerry
