Is there any possible way for me to burn a 1x-8x disk at 4x on my 8x dvd burner? It is a cheap burner, called HiVal. Any help is appreciated

The software you use to burn your discs should have an option for you to select the burn speed, Nero has a pulldown for 1X-12X burning, just select the speed you want

I've tried nero, and it seems to be very glitchy with my 8x speed drive. Is there any way to change that in neros options?

Thanks for the help! I ended up just buying alcohol and it worked great! I can use every burn speed, and I think it is better than nero!

Alchohol solves more than one problem, doesn't it?
