I have about 15 avi files totalling 5.8gb. I want to compress them to 4.35gb, make a dvd menu, and burn them to a dvd-playable dvd-r. Can someone tell me how to do this or point me toward some guides that will help me? I tried searching, but I didn't know what to look for.

    Thanks in advance.

i would use divxtodvd (available in software section up top of page, guides are in guide section), to convert everything to dvd format, then use dvd shrink to shrink to required size (make sure to set target size in Shrinl's preferences to 4300MB first), then you can burn to dvd. see software/guides section for dvd shrink. for burning you can use dvd decrypter (all the tools i've recommended are free)

This wont work, the amount totalling isnt the same as what a dvd amounts to!

You'll fit around 50% of them .avi's on dvd thats all!

Use Tmpg Express 3 (read one of my posts in the dvd authoring section to convert the ones that'll fit to dvd)
