I just DL'ed a movie off Grokster. I currently use NERO burning software. I attempted to burn the movie onto a DVD disc. I got an error message that MPEG2 codec was missing. I got that one. However when I tried to burn the movie I got warnings that errors were present? I selected ignore, and burned the disc. I tried to play it in my DVD Home theater but it would not read/play.
I put the disc into my computer dvd player and it worked. Why is that? And how do I make "hard copies" of movies that one downloads?

well, talking about dl'ed movies is not really accepted here. You need to have the dvd in dvd format to work on the home player (ie. ifo, bup, and vob files). There are guides about converting to dvd files.
