Looking for some help burning a .ts file (this is a streaming file that was obtained from my DVR). I don't want to loose quality by converting it to mpg2 only to convert back to a dvd quality file. Any help cutting out that middle man and burning the .ts file strait ot a watchable dvd?

Thank you, it worked well, I initialy saw that guide, but didn't see a .ts file description. I tried it and it burned some of the video(first 10 secs and the last 10 secs), but not all of it...I wonder if that is a function of the trail version like the watermark. I will look to get a full version and try it out.
Not that I know of. I used the trial to burn an entire video and then checked it out. 10 seconds wouldn't be long enough to see anything; sounds like a corrupted download.
That could be...rather frustrating to have to go to all the different steps...I just want to pull the items I DVR'd and back them up on a watchable DVD. The capture program that renders the .ts makes me replay the saved video (show) in order to capture it...seems it would be better to be able to capture it right to my computer as I watched it the first time. I will search for some info on that...if you have any suggestions let me know.
.ts (Transport Stream). These are video streams that some satellite company's use. I also read that you can use Nero Vision Express to convert these. Start Nero Vision and choose to make a DVD-Video. Now choose to add video files. It will not show up in the list unless you choose (ALL FILES) under the files of types. Once you choose all files then it should show up for you to add into Nero Vision then go from there making a DVD of it. Just so you know you will lose quality no matter how you do it. It needs to be converted to DVD compliant files and doing that will reduce quality. By how much I have no idea but you will not get a 1:1 copy of it when converting you will lose quality.
Yes, I am refering to a .ts file (Transport stream) from my DVR. I too have heard that Nero works. I have Nero Vision Express 2, I read to try a newer version. Still trying to figure out the best way to pull the files from my DVR, so far it is to recapture them (very time consuming), would rather direct them directly to my PC, but haven't figured that out yet.
