I'm trying to burn an iso file but when I place a DVD in the drive it says it requires a CD. So I place a CD in the drive and it says the file size is too large for the disc and asks if I want to try overburn writing but this may cause errors and damage the recorder. I'm using Nero Express.

    Questions
    1. Why won't it allow me to burn it on a DVD?
    2. Can I do something so that I can burn it on a DVD?
    3. What is a overburn and how will it affect the file after it's burn.

    what is the file size?

Some CDs can burn 70mins or 80mins. I suspect that your CD image (your iso file) is of the 80min variety. And therefore Nero is asking you if you want to burn this by overburning. Nothing will happen to your file itself but if your CD can't handle the 80 mins then you might have a coaster. Some CDs can handle it. what does your CD say on the box or spindle? how many mins. can it burn?
