All right, I tried using the other systems explained elsewhere on this site but nothing I tried ever got the result I wanted or did not lead to a result at all. So, what I would like to know is what is best way to go about burning my anime (which is .avi format) onto CDs. They do not have to play in a DVD player, I would jus' like to have a them play on my computer with as good of a picture as the original file. When I tried doing this with Nero the episode became distorted. Any help?

Hi, i am not quite sure why the picture have become distorted when burning with Nero. I have always burned AVI files using Nero and they were as good as the original. do you alter any settings in Nero? or do you just drag, drop and burn using data mode? that has always worked for me

No, I never alter any settings in Nero...frankly I am afraid to mess it up. Did you buy Nero or do you have the free version/demo version? I have the demo, is that possibly why it distorts it?

    1. There shouldnt be a big difference between the full/demo aside from a timebomb. I could be wrong but thats my suspicion

    2. If you want to burn your anime onto CD for backup purposes and playback on computer, just burn them as regular, run of the mill, DataCDs. If you are paranoid about quality, burn everything at 8x. As a general rule, keep to the 24x upper ceiling and rarely will you have problems.
