I have a Pioneer DVR-108 that burns at a 16x16. I have already updated my firmware to 1.20. What do i do to get my maximum speed i deserve?

The drive can burn up to 16x but it also depends on how fast the blank DVD can be burnt at. Also depending on what you are trying to burn its not always good to burn at max speed when it comes to certain things. When backing up movies it is suggested to burn at 4x because then the likelihood of any errors comming up will be minimal and your will have no jumpy scenes and the sound will correspond with the picture correctly.

Data can be burnt at max speed in my opinion.

    I hope that helps... :)

i was a long-time advocate of 4x burning, then i gingerly moved to 8x and never looked back; can even do 8x over USB2.0 (which i believe is the max reliable speed over USB2.0), I could probably go over 8x on internal burner but if i did i'd only do 12x max (which i haven't tried) but no way would i go 16x, i'm more than happy with the little time it takes for 8x
