burning avi and divx

    hi,, new to this the problem i have is when i play a downloaded film in realplayer or windows media player it looks great but when i burn it to a disc and watch it on my stand alone dvd/divx player it comes out quite poor. is there a program or any such thing where i can fix this problem and make the film better quality or is it a case of thats as good as it gets. would be gratefull for any help.

    what did you use for the conversion to mpeg2 or did you leave it as divx

    hi.. i used cucusoft to convert it to mpeg2 it burnt fine its just the picture kind of wants cleaning up its watchable but it could be better is there any software that can improve picture quality.. thanks

    you might try re encoding the file with main concept mpeg encoder or though a video editing suite like premier to enhance the quality.
