burning dvd with nero 8

    I have nero 8, it says the divx/xvid format is not supported to burn a dvd. Any suggestions

    My understanding of your text is that you're trying to burn xvid/divx video files as DVD-video. This isn't feasible. Generic video files such as aforementioned need to be encoded into DVD conforming files first before they can be written into DVD-video format. For this task, you can use Nero Vision.

    nero vision with the dvd plugin...
