So over the last couple days i have been dling movies in avi files. But not I have enough that I want to burn them so I can take them off my computer and make room for more. I was trying to use Nero to burn these dvd's but ran into some problems. 1) nero the program itself wasnt giving me the option to make any type of video file other than a Date disc with a Cdr/rw 2)the other program that came on the cd (which i got from a friend (power producer)) would let me burn the movies as a DVD that could be played in a stand alone player, but whenever i would move the average of 700M file into the program, the file size would jump up to 4.8-4.9G sometimes even higher. I wanna be able to burn these movies onto dvds that i can play and watch at home, without spending a shit load on 8.5G dvdr disks. What should I do.
Depending on the running time of the video, 700MB can end up 4GB after conversion to DVD format. I don't know what version of Nero you have. If it's Nero 6, run Nero Vision Express and elect to make a DVD Video. If it's Nero 7, run Nero Vision 4, ditto.
alright so do i have to conver the avi files into something else to get them to work in the nero express program?
k is there a differnce between nero express and nero VISION express and is that why nero express is not reading my avi files?
'Nero Express'- a confusingly similar name, loads files that have been ripped from a DVD - it cannot load AVI files.
