hi when i burn divx files or any data onto a -dvdr disc, at the very end of burning the burn failes.ts as though the disc cannot finish itself ? i am using nero 7. when i burn audio discs it does them ok any body help me please

Ok - just missing the top part of the log - can you post that part so we can check your drives firmware? Disc Manufacturer: TTH02 Decent discs but may not be compatible with your drive. Ones to try - Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell. Burn process failed at 2x Take the burn speed up to 4x or 6x. Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS' Roxio and Nero don't always play well so you can uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool

Ok looks like you have the most recent firmware for the drive - acer laptop? Yep could be the discs - they may not be compatible w/ your drive's firmware. Try the ones above - most of these are pretty compatible w/ the different drives firmware. DMA shows that it's on now - so that's good. How about Roxio? The ones driver that can cause conflicts is still showing in the log - Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS I'd take the burn up to 4x or 6x too - 2x is a bit too slow for 16x media and can also cause burn errors.
ok got rid of the roxio stuff and did the same data again burned ok no problem did at 2 speed thats the fastest it will burn on a dvdr(in nero the speed option is either 1 or 2 speed,)the option is blacked out.i usually burn audio cdr data at 12 speed never a prob
yes all seams ok the same problem did occur when i used dvd shrink,right at the end of burning the disc the drive made a noise as though it could not finalise the disc thats when the error occurred lets hope the problem has now passed, thanks very much for ya help
