Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it's the closest I could find!

I've just bought WinAVI Video Converter, and converted some AVI files from my digital camera, but when I click on the 'Burn' button on the main interface, instead of giving me the 'Burn disk' interface (as the Help page says it will) it launches Nero Express, from which I can't find a way to select the converted files to burn.

How can I get to the 'Burn disk' interface.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm afraid I didn't make myself clear.

I've converted my AVI files to DVD format and want to burn the files to a DVD, not a CD.

WinAVI Help implies that if you click the 'Burn disk' button after converting the files the program will switch to the 'Burn disk' interface, from where you can burn the converted files to DVD, but when I click the button it launches Nero Express.

I would prefer to use WinAVI for the whole process, and don't understand why I am not given this option. However as a last resort I suppose I could use Nero, but can't even see how to burn a DVD from the converted files there. I'm sure it's obvious, but I can't find it!

Any further help, particularly on burning with WinAVI would be very much appreciated.

Anita...although Nero Express is a better and faster burner..you can you Winavis own built in burner..you have to enable that function..just start up the program and go to menu then options and check where it says use Winavi built in burner.

    Thanks, rp_024 and woofy1.

I've at last realised where I'm going wrong with Nero Express. I couldn't find any option to burn DVD-Video Files. Under 'Which recorder would you like to use' the default shows D:philips DVD +/-RW DVD8701 [CD-R/RW]. I didn't notice the bit in brackets and assumed the correct recorder was selected, as it was the right drive letter and model number. However, I now see that the drop-down menu also includes D:philips DVD +/-RW DVD8701 [DVD], and if I select that, one of the options is DVD-Video Files.

If Nero Express is a better burner I shall use it - now that I know how!

Thanks again for your help. I'm sorry to have wasted your time through my own lack of observation!

You can set it in the MENU--->Options--->select the "Use the build-in CD burner", then you can burn with WinAVI but not Nero.
When you burn DVD with WinAVI, just use the VIDEO_TS folder.
