When ever i burn anything, DVD movies for backing up or CD backing up it doesn't fully burn onto the CD. for instance i wanted to burn a CD using windows media player i watched it analyze it it went through each one just fine but when it burnt it only played up until the 6th song. the songs are not that long and the CD is not scratched. another example is when i was backupping 310 to yuma. i burned it and it was just fine up until the burning. i looked at the disc and it was clearly visible that it had only burned through half of the discs. what is going on? Is the burner just getting old?(i have backed up a ton of Cd's and DVDs by the way. Any help is welcome.
im not getting any error messages but when i burn the dics the end product is unfinshed( tracks missing, dvd has only first 45 or so minutes) i am using dvdshrink, clone dvd, and dvdfab decryptor for movies and i am using windows media player for cds
sounds like burner could try anydvd trial running in background then use dvd shrink, although newer movies need fixvts / vobBlanker used on ripped file first due to other nasty new protections, better to get movie only too less hassles.
Ok your going to need to be a tad more specific there: Right-click on My Computer> Go Properties> Hardware Tab> Device Manager> Press the (+) next to DVD/CD-ROM Drives and it will list the manufacturers and models of your drives. Copy that here... Also have you updated your firmware for your drives? And most importantly what media are you using?
here is what it says This device is working properly. If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshoote DVD/CD-ROM drives Standard CD-ROM drives) Location 0 (0)
Memorex are known for a few things, being the best of blank media however is not one of them. I would upgrade your media. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and Sony are good ones that come to mind.
Yeah get rid of the Memorex.. Btw, Q45, don't double-click on your Optical drives, of course their working fine.. what I meant is just copy the manufacturer and model number and search it with Google, you should find a firmware update in 2 ticks.
