I hope this is not a dumb question

Sometimes when I download multiple rar files and join them they become a large image file.

When you extract them they turn into a video ts folder containing video files.

Is the quality of the new video files any different than the original image file.

    Thanks

Unless you did some other operation on the files other than to convert them , then no quality difference.

There is no difference, like iluvendo says, and should not need to extract the files from the image container. Just burn a disc image(with ImgBurn for example). Unless you want to edit the video first....If you just want to watch it, VLC I think will open a image file.
