I just tried burning a video file to a DVD+R disc using dvdflick and was told there's an error when burning. Can anyone say if the disc has to be in the DVD tray the entire time when the program is preparing files, encoding preview, encoding video and so on because I put the disc in the tray after imgburn finally came on to burn the disc when everything was finished with dvdflick. Also, I choose 4x as my write speed so does this sound ok?
the disc doesn't need to be in the entire time, 4x is fine, make sure you drivers are up-to-date mycomputer right click> properties> hardware tab> device manager> cd-rom/dvd devices and update or uninstall reinstall i suggest trying again, you could have had a bad disc, (try different media) if it doesn't work give us your burn log
What exactly is the burn log and where is it? I have tried different programs like imgburn to burn video-ts files to a disc and it looks like everything is recording the way it should but than the disc is defective when I put it in the DVD player. I also notice a strange sound with my DVD drive after the disc is in the tray so I'm thinking maybe there's a problem with my burner . The discs are Sony which I beleive is one of the best brands to use.
