I'm looking for a way to put several divx movies onto a single dvd and watching the dvd on my multi-format dvd player. I can burn single divx movies on a dvd using the divx burning tool that comes with the divx software/player and it plays fine, but theirs alot of room left on the 4.7gig dvd. So i figured hey.. Theirs room for about 5 movies on here... I tried Nero and it froze at 26% and the divx burning tool froze at 5%. I can burn them one at a time just fine though.. Is there better programs out there for making a multi movie dvd like this? What the steps that you guys's have done to do this sucessfully? Thanks..
I use nero 6.0 oem version to burn all my divx and xvid files to dvd. I use the dvd data method and works great everytime. When you open nero and choose data burning, I just drag and drop as many files that fit on the DVD(usually 5 or 6). The dvd's that I make play fine on my standalone dvd/divx player. My advice is to just use the data burning method and you should be ok.
I tried making a data disc using nero 8 but when you go to the folder for the divx movie, it's blank.... Meaning it's not recognised as a file. Then, tried Nero vision also and it wanted to convert them to dvd files then burn them. I'm actually having a heck of a time just trying to make a data dvd with dixv movies on it. Maybe im missing a setting in nero or something?? On a plus note, I was able to get the divx player/burner to put 2 divx movies on a dvd. Separate question here, I reformatted my dvd-rw's but nero and divx burner still say it's not a blank disc.. haha this stuff had me jumpin thru hoops alright... Thanks for the help jony
If you burn with Nero, format the DVD-RW with Nero. ...when you go to the folder for the divx movie, it's blank.... Meaning it's not recognised as a file.... If it is a *.divx extension movie, Nero will not recognize it. If you don't have an option to choose "all files" from a pull down menu, just rename the video from a .divx extension to .avi. Ignore the warning and Nero will recognize it.
Thank you. I will try that! *Edit-Resolved* Apparently one of the .Divx movies was a bad copy and would hang up the entire burn. I can use the Divx Player/Burner to burn as many titles (700Mb'ish.) that will fit on the disc without any problems now. Playback looks good on the livingroom player aswell..
