I converted my dvds to mpeg with dvd2mpeg and i even have that program registered now after i converted it has given me the movie in 5 parts each part being 700 meg except the last one which is 217 meg and in total that is 2.67 gig which is only half of a dvd disc yet i cant put even the first 3 onto a disc.......is it the program i use burn the dvd's (sonic mydvd) or is there some hidden stuff that make the file larger than it says....i dunno im lost ive messsed around with all this stuff too much to look back now....
Since you bought that program I can understand why you'd want to use it ... but Shrink & Decrypter are free and they both work fine. Have you tried them? You might just try one of your DVDs with these programs to see if they work for you. BTW I've burned .mpg files using Sonic MyDVD without a problem, although these files are not from store-bought DVDs I'm backing up.
