What exactly are you trying to do ? Are you reading from your hard drive or from one of your DVD drives and trying to burn on the other drive? It seems that your burner is failing to read the data source.

    What discs are you using?

    Should enable DMA :

    1. Delete your CD-Key and personal info at the top of your log you posted before some bumhole copies it and pastes it into their Nero.

    2. What kind of DVD are you trying to burn here? Video, data,... what's the source file?

    3. What media are you using? (Brand of blank discs)

    4. Have you updated your firmware for both drives?

Firmware has been updated. Dma is on. Memorex blanks. Illegal disc error comes up when I try to burn. If it is vob ,videots, avi, rat, dvd squeeze, data it won't matter, it just won't burn. I can make a vcd no problem but if you are like me, I just want things to work. Thanks

Memorex- no good. Get some Verbatim or Sony discs. If you buy online, get Taiyo Yuden.

Also use a DVD lens cleaner.

Memorex is crappola , I agree. Like they say you get what you pay for.I never thought of a lens cleaner, thanks for that. Just out of curiosity , what if anything does that error report that i posted tell you? Thanks again.

    Unrecovered Read Error

Were you trying to use both drives, read the info from one and burn to the other, or read from the drive and burn the image to the HD? It looks like a read error, not a burn/write error.

That's how it looks like... Well, it seems that your drive, the reader, has problems with the disc. Try using for example ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter to rip the disc to your hard drive and then burn it. nero is not a very good ripper, it doesn't handle well faulty discs. You might not be able to copy that disc at all if it is in a bad shape. You can have a disc that plays okay, but be hard to rip. This can happen due to a bad burn, burning too fast, too close to the outer edge of the disc, on poor quality media(Memorex).
Also you can try switching the drives, use the other one as a reader.
Try cleaning the disc. If it is scratched, at your local DVD store you could get it re-polished for a couple of bucks.

I think my problem was burning on the fly.I tried reading from the dvd burner first, then burning and it worked fine even with the craptastic memorex. Thanks for your help. I should be ok now.

Burning "on the fly" is not that easy. If your both DVD drives are on the same channel...not good. It is recommended they are set-up on different IDE channels to burn on the fly. The reader needs to be fast enough to keep up with the burner. Any little disturbance in the flow of information, will give you an error...

hi, i was wondering if you would be able to send me the driver to your LG burner. I also have a GCC-4320b and been searching hi and low for the driver. LG doesnt seem to host it and driver sites dont seem to have it either.
