Power Calibration Error is 99% of the time a hardware error. Do the following to try and resolve. 1) Upgrade the firmware on your Recorder 2) Try more than one brand of media, in case you have a defective batch, or a brand of media the Recorders firmware has trouble with 3) Make sure you have the latest Nero 6.6.0.14 4) If all else fails, try cleaning the Opitcal head of the recorder by bolwing compressed air through the front of the drive. If all that fails, the recorder may need serivce. Regarsd, Craig Nero Inc USA
Thank you for your reply Craig. In the meantime I have received an e-mail from Nero technical support and they advice me pretty much the same.Although my computer is still under warranty I couldn't wait for HP Technical support reply so I went today to Harvey Norman computer shop here in Sydney and bought BENQ DW 1625 DL DVD +/- RW with LightScribe and installed it on my HP t680A.Everything working fine for time being. Also I have another question. I've burned MP3 DVD + R ( Verbatim) disc with a Nero 6 as a ISO 9006 + Jolliet format, but DVD doesn't play in my SONY DVP N530 player which normally plays all others MP3 CD's. Any advice regarding this issue. Cheers, Gordon H.
Does your DVD Player support that brand of DVD Media? There is nothing that Nero can do to improve compatibility, as it's just creating a standard Data DVD. I assume it plays fine on your Computer? If you create a DVD-Video disc with that same media, is it able to play on that DVD Player? If not, then it could be just a compatibiliyt issue between the Player and the media. Does it work if you create a Data CD with MP3 files on it? Regards, Craig Nero Inc USA
