I have a program that I want to burn onto dvd. The folder is about 1.5 gb's. Is there a way to burn the folder?
You can't burn installed programs from a computer to a DVD, you would be missing a lot of things such as registry keys and other tidbits. If you're talking about a folder with the installation files inside, then burning the folder would work perfectly. =) If it's an image file, such as .iso, .cue, then you would have to burn the image file instead.
You can burn any folder. If you want to burn the program's install and that folder has the installed program... then you don't wan't to burn. If you need more help, we need more info! Sry!
The folder contains everything to run program. Including exe. I never had to install it. It just runs from exe. Didn't know if I had to convert folder to iso then burn or what about compressing to zip file then burning?
I guess what Im asking is if the folder is to big as is to burn on cd do I need a program like nero to burn onto dvd?
any burner program that recognizes dvd disk will copy to cd or dvd so not just nero. can copy entire folder to dvd just like doing to cd & i'm not talking about rw disks
So this program uses that directory to run. Then it probably needs r/w acces, so you can store it on a DVD in any form, but it's recommended to copy back to a hdd to run properly. You can use any software to write DVD what can do it.
