Hello, I am confused over the process to take convert a .ratdvd file to a DVD format and then burn it to a DVD disc. When I convert a .ratdvd file, the dialog box only shows two tabs: "Target Settings" and "Options". I don't see the third tab called "Burn Settings" as described in the ratdvd website. The conversion process creates a Video_TS dir with BUP, IFO and VOB files. How do I burn these to a DVD? I have Sonic MyDVD and Sonic RecordNow software. I am also using the latest ratdvd software version. Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions!
Hi, I have the same problem, i have emachines powerDVD as a player, nero6 and Alcohol120% burners also dvd decrypter and DVDshrink. I don't get the option to burn dvd in dvdrat, why is this please help?
Hello again, solved the problem. Just unistalled Nero6 and replaced it with Nero6.6.0.8 with all plugins, now when I open a ratDVDfile in rat DVD and click on ratDVD to DVD I get the "Burn settings" tab. Seems to be working fine now though it's taking absolutly ages to convert. I just hope the resulting DVD will be as good quality as people say they are. I normally download DVDr files via bittorent these are 4.7Gb and take forever to download. I suggest you download yourself a copy of Nero6 with plugins(you can get this from most bittorent sites). Good luck hope this helps.
Hmmm, Not worked, left it running overnight and this morning dvdrat had closed it's self down and not burned the DVD however it had left the new unratted files in the destination folder. Tried to burn these manualy with nero but nero gave me error warnings that videoVOB was not present. Buurned disc anyway but disc was unplayable on PC and in DVD player!!!! This program is realy starting to piss me off now.
sorry to have to ask you what may be a dumb question but... When you used Nero did you 1) Bring up the record video DVD, 2)then drag and drop the [bold]whole[/bold] video_ts folder into the root of the correct nero window? Works great with mine. Or perhaps your hard drive is fragmented? To make it easier on me (using only a 2gb celleron with 1.5gb ram)I have a partition on one hard drive that is 10 gb as my source drive, which is emptied after each use, and a 10 GB partition on a second drive as my destination, whish ic also emptied after each use for DVD copying, or conversion. Sure makes it a lot faster with empty, defragmented drives to start with.
