Hi, I have the avi2dvd and the dvd decrypter. I have to convert several short films from avi into dvd and then burn them into a dvd. I read all the guides, but it usually talks about "a movie" or bringing together two files into "a movie". I would like to know how do i burn a dvd with the three iso files i get from the conversion thanks to the avi2dvd. Any help or answer is appreciated!! Thanks!
An alternate way would be to load the three original AVI files into vsoDivxToDVD and save them to a DVD folder.Load them in the order that you want them to play on the DVD. Use ImgBurn to burn the folder to a DVD. http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB) Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD. Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv) Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America) http://www.imgburn.com/ Run ImgBurn Click 'Mode' > 'Build' Click 'Output' > 'Device' Click 'File' > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK' Set burning speed to 4x and click the green write button. Note that since a standard DVD-5 can hold ~4.4MB, it may be necessary to shrink the output of the DVD folder to fit. For that you can use DVD Shrink. DVD Shrink: http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/dvdshrink32setup.zip Guide: http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/ Download, install and run. 'Open Files' choose the folder with the DVD files. Click 'Backup!' 'Target Device' / 'Select backup target' > 'ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter' File will be analyzed and shrunk to fit DVD (if required).
Thanks for the info!!! I did everything you told me but the imgburn threw this message: DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME)Failed! Device: [0:0:0]MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-852S 1.50 (E (ATA) Unable to lock volume for exclusive access. Reason: Access is denied. And then you have three choices: Cancel, Try Again, Continue I put try again, but it won't work. What should I do? Thanks again!
That's odd, it sounds like some other program had control of the drive? You could also load the files from the folder with DVD Shrink, click 'Backup' and choose to burn with DVD Decrypter.
I have Windows Vista, can it be there's something in the system that's blocking it without knowing? Thanks!
I love you!!! You are amazing!! It worked!! Now I just have to learn how to make a menu, so that I can chose which film I want to see! I you have any info on this will appreciate it. If not, thank you thank you again!
If you don't intend to use the likes of Nero or other commercial software, invest an hour designing your own menu's with freeware. Basically you create/save any graphic which is the same size as a PAL or NTSC video frame (e.g 720 x 480) The frame is converted as a 'still' image (that's the menu background you see on the opening screen of your DVD) then link the buttons on the menu to your DVD file. Create Menu graphic Page (correct size pal/ntsc) with VCDMenu Lite http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/VCD_Menu_Lite/vcdmenu.html Convert Menu Graphic to 'still' image and link to VOB's with DVD Author GUI http://download.videohelp.com/liquid217/dvdauthorgui.pl BTW, if you intend to turn your hand to designing menu's and the like, invest in a pack of DVD-RW or DVD+RW (whatever suits your DVD player) so you can reuse the disks.
