    Hi guys,

I use Nero Startsmart to burn my AVI video files to DVD, it does it all; encode and burn, its simple to use aswell.

The problem is my AVI files are ranging from 600MB up to 1.5GB and it takes 1-2 hours to encode and burn using Nero.

I want something that does it faster, but something that is similar to Nero; Easy to use and has it all.
    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

your right nero does do it all quite well for most people but theres also alot with it you wont use, and more who dont like it.
winavi is the fastest thing i have used and it can burn your files to disk. but i dont use it to burn as it doesnt like my drive.
vsos x2dvd is the easiest to use that i have found, but not as fast

The problem isn't the burning, it is the converting. Leave that out and it should be much faster. Also you only need a CDR for the 600MB ones.

Well in that case you check out the "MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 encoding (AVI to DVD)" forum.
