I am trying to ripp Man of the House and for some crazy reason it is showing the size to be 8,539,996,160 bytes. This can't be right and it will not fit onto 1 dvd but it is on one dvd. I think it is showing the size double. What can I do if anything???

    HELP PLEASE

Man of the House has both a widescreen and fullscreen version on it, so it is showing this size. Unless you want both versions then I suggest you use re-author in Shrink and pick which one you want. Of course then you will get movie only. You can download the 21 day trial versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD and edit the movie the way you want.

I tried to use dvd shrink and while it was going through the open disk process it stopped at only 5% and said that there was an error from the i/o device. So it wouldn't finish so then I tried using the dvd decrypter.

    Help,

I understand your frustration, I just spoke with a friend who is experiencing the same difficulties with this movie and Shrink and Decrypter. Your best bet is to download the trial of AnyDVD and CloneDVD and choose the Copy DVD Titles option and the pick one of the titles. This is how I did and it worked. Some people are using the free program DVDFab Decrypter and have been able to rip it, but I am unsure if you will be able to open the file from Shrink. If you want to try this route you can find DVDFab Decrypter at

Good luck, let me know how it goes.
