burning vcd with nero

    I have burned a vcd with nero vision express but the finished disc will not play in my computer or dvd player. When I do into my computer and click onto d drive various files come up but i can't get the movie to play.

    lots of places to start, on what type of media?, did you finalize the cd?, and what speed write?

    The movie is located in the MPEGAV folder! its usually avseq01.dat! Try opening it in WinDVD!

    How do you finalise the cd? I did everything that i was asked to do.

    Open Nero Burning Rom>click wizrd>locate Video cd over on the left hand corner>tick "create standard complaint cd". if you live in the USA, tick NTSC. Click New, then add your file and burn at 4x.

    daisy, a vcd compilation would usually automatically be set to finalyze cd but you can check if you like, click file - compilation info. click the burn tab and see is it selected!

    thank you for your help but I have worked out what to do. I needd to download an upgrade for my dvd player and it is now working.
