I've recently been burning some VCDs with Nero. I had some problems with it, so I tried this Sonic MyDVD thing that came with the computer. I like both for various reasons, but I was wondering if anyone here had some suggestions as to a better program I could download/buy? I like the fact that I can wither put thumbnails or test links in nero, but I like that I can add menu music in Sonic. I'd like to have something that is as customizable as possible...something that will let me do all kinds of stuff. You know, make it as close to a DVD as possible. In fact, I will probably eventually put these all on a DVD-VCD, so it needs to support that as well... Any suggestions?
you can do alotta things with vcdeasy that will sort of make your vcd resemble the interactivity that you get with dvds, for instance you can make menus, add chapters, insert an image at the end of the disc telling you to change to next disc ect ect, theres too many options to list and discuss so check this great tutorial out that explains all the aspects of making your vcd as interactive as possible with vcdeasy: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/84327.php#5interactivity cheerz
sweet! looks pretty cool. I'm downloading it now. I've got a lot to make, so I may even consider buying it if it does everything I need it to. Thanx a lot
not a problem m8 if you want to buy the new version of vcdeasy thats cool but im 99.9% sure that the last freeware version of vcdeasy is able to do exactly what you want free of charge. you can pick up the last freeware version of vcdeasy here: http://linux04.wekanet-team.de/download/8c5/vcdeasy1152.exe EDIT:. after looking over the tutorial again i noticed that the author was using an even older version of vcdeasy than 1.1.5.2 so you'll be able to do what you want and maybe even more with the last freeware version cheerz m8 _X_X_X_X_X_[small] SNOOCH TO THE MUTHA fusking NOOCH!!! -Jay-[/small]
Actually, it won't let me add the videos since each is over 200MB in size If I want to try it out, I'll have to buy it. I'll probably get some smaller files to test it first, of course.
thats with the trail version yeah?? download the last freeware version(no file size limit, fully functional version) of vcdeasy from the link above, you will be able to do everything that the author achieves in the tutorial that i posted. it sure beats buying a program only to find out that its really not what your looking for. if after you use the freeware version and you find it to be exactly what your looking for, well then buy the new version if you want . cheerz
Hi, If u would like to find a good program to make vcds try roxio if u havent already. as far as that sonic program from my own experience it sucks, but roxio allows adding pics to menu and thumbnails music u name u can almost do anything to a vcd disc and as far as the vcd easy try to find a commercial version so u dont havta worry about a trial ver. or anything like that
I think I have a copy of Roxio sitting around someplace. I never used it for VCDs before, but I do believe I have it. I'll look for it and try it out. As for the VCDEasy, I d/l the freeware version, so I'm not having any "trial" issues anymore. It takes some getting used to, but I like this VCDEasy so far
