hi! im just a newbie here... just wanna ask a few questions about burning videos as data dvd. here goes... today i bought a lite-on dvd burner and burned my anime fansub video... so ok i was successful at burning it. problem is that when i played it in my hd dvd player connected to a hdtv the picture is oversize... i dont know how to describe it but i think u get the picture. sad thing about it was you cant see the subtitle of the video. if a switch the view mode of the hdtv u can see half of it in other modes you cant. im backing up my videos to free some of my hard disk drive's space. dont wanna waste some dvd-r's anymore. also i would like to ask if i burn the videos using divx would i be still able to extract it as the original .avi file? or divx will encode it in a diff format? my hd dvd player can play video files the are burned as data dvd. so which one do u think will be a better plan? planning to reburned my backup anime if someone wants a copy. i will delete the anime video once i burned it as data. help anyone? raphael
Hi , I know some Video to DVD softwares at edited by ddp, you can choose one to help you , they are all powerful . I hope it can help you out .
@prophizy...... you yet to mention what program you used and how you used it! what method did you do to get it onto DVD. then maybe we can see what you did and help you out. As far as writing a DVD video as Data DVD make sure your player can play the format you are writing to disk on..... so if the player can play an AVI file then you can burn the video as a data disk and play it on the player! Nero can do this for you. There are plenty of writing software that can do this, too. Try ImgBurn... it's free! look for it in the software tab of on the top of this page! http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm
oh yeah... sorry bout that... i used nero and my hd player can read avi files... video and sound quality was great as well... now, im using divx' burner... was expecting it would burn as divx movies but same output as nero... im currently using divx' burner to avoid error in playing the dvd in the player cause it support divx movies... the only problem i encounter is only half of the subtitle is appearing its readible but its quite annoying... i dont want to convert the files since i want to use it for future burning...
