i always burned my dvds at 4x and they would play and all my dvd players and game systems like xbox and ps2. now all of a sudden they wont play on some of my dvd players or my game systems. ive always used the same dvd +r memorex 4x discs also . someone plzzzz help firmware and shit is updated
Perhaps those memorex dudes switched vendors and now the blanks are actually CMC or some other crappy disk, but labeled as Memorex. Companies are known for making that sorta switch. Check this out. http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
Are you using stick on labels on your burnt DVDs? If so, problems will often occur after a number of plays
Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, Surely you have seen this somewhere in your time at AD: Ritek(G04's for .69ea/100w/free shipping at Meritline) or verbatim and your problem will disappear. PS-you may have always used the same brand, but I doubt you have been using the same discs. ive used verbatim and hp discs as well and still the same problem that noone can seem to help me with
If it was working and now it isn't, then something has changed. Have you added any new hardware or software? You might want to try a system restore back to the point it was working and see if it still works.
Bigorange is correct, some someware has been added since you last successful burn and that software is the culprit. I dont know if you've mentioned this, but what software are you using to rip and burn with? System specs would help also.
Just a thought ,but have you removed your spyware lately? That could be what changed,I recommend adaware and spybot s&d.
i use dvd shrink and i burn with nero express, all of my dvds will play in my better dvd players but some wont play in my xbox like they used to do, i have sunbelt pest patrol to get rid of all my spyware and adware and it works good, i just wiped out my whole system and still the same problem
Again, did you add sunbelt and then have problems or have you always had it? Anything else you have added? Lots of times you can remove something and remnants will remain creating turmoil when you think they're gone. _X_X_X_X_X_[small] [bold]GO VOLS![/bold]........Dell Media4600, XP home,Pentium 4 @2.80GHz/800Mz, 512MB, 280 HD w/8MB, 17" flat panel, AIO-A920, 8x DVD-ROM, integrated 5.1 audio, HP dc4000, Plextor PX-708UF[/small]
