As it says this is the place to be if your a newbie, and i am so hopefully you can help me......? im using prassi and 2x media but for some reason it still takes an hour to burn a dvd-r....? Im running 98se with a amd 2000xp, 256ddr on an asus a7a266board and my burner is a pioneer 104. the version of prassi im using is 2.00.0767. what am i doing wrong cos i must be as it takes so long. I've tried using nero 5.5.9.9 and i can burn a dvd-r between 20-25mins depends on how much mb is on a dvd but i get that many freeze up's i stoped i get better results with prassi but i cant burn as quick....Please help as my head is in bits...
There may be a direct correlation between the burn speed and the freeze ups. I burn everything at 1x for maximum compatibility. If you were getting freeze ups at 2x and Prassi burning at 1x doesn't give you freeze ups I'd be happy with my lot if I were you. Try 1x in Nero and see if you still get the freezeups.
Its seems to be a bit pointless having a 2x speed writter and paying the extra for the media if this is the case......? so if i'm having this kind of trouble at 2x speed i wont be buying a 4x writter... thanks for your time on my small matter for all the help it was...
