I going to buy a DVD burner. Can anyone recommend one. Can DVD burners copy DVDs that have copy protection? I have a prive range of about 200-250.
This should be in the "DVD Burners" forum. That being said, with your price range I would recommend either the Plextor PX-708A 8X or the Pioneer 107 8X. Both are the very fine, solid burners from two of the most respected makers around. Read up on both of them and see which one fits the bill for you.
The Plextor comes in both flavors and I'm not sure if there is an external version of the Pioneer. If you're looking at an external burner make sure your PC supports USB2 (emphasis on the "2") _ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Gigabyte 8INXP, Intel P4HT 3.06 Mushkin 1024 MB PC2100 Sapphire 9800 Pro Plextor PX-708A/Plextor Premium/LTD-166S M-Audio Revolution 7.1 Bald is Beautiful[/small]
I went to the website www.pricegrabber.com and it says that the plextor is 1,891.That seems a bit pricey.
$175 is about right for the Plextor PX-708A - it's one of the latest generation (8X) burners which will be relatively expensive. The Pioneer DVR-107 can be had for around $145 if that price suits you better.
