I like the IPAQ PDA's. I have a 4700 with windows mobile 5 OS. Put a 4gb CF card and a 2gb SD and you can have MUsic,Movies, Pix. I also have room for about 20,000 pages of technical manuals that use Adobe Reader. Of course it has WiFi for internet, and Bluetooth for accessories like GPS, etc. It is also good at multitasking, I typically run 3 apps at a time. There are others to choose from like Dell, but get the 624mhz processor, 4in. screen, and lightest so it fits in your shirt pocket. Good Luck and have fun.

i can only speak for what i own, which is a toshiba e740. well, everyone knows that toshiba just about abandons all of the ppc products they make, which means that they do not make them any more, and you can only buy them from an online auction, or a marketplace, etc. But I love this thing. It is only on windows mobile 2002, but it is always upgradable, shich is what i am getting ready to do in a few hours. I despise Palm OS Because i have used a few of them, and i HATE them. I think they are pieces of junk, but some other people seem to think different. I would recommend a Toshiba e740, or and e750, 755, or the e800 series. They are all good. and Toshiba has not abandoned the e800 series yet, but it is only a matter of time.

I've been a Palm user for the past 5+ years. Although PPC has more apps & more being developed, I stick with Palm. I use a Zire72, sharp 320x320 hi-res screen, 312Mhz ARM processor, 1.2MP camera, SecureDigital cards, & thousands of great apps. You can play video with MMplayer, listen to mp3s with AeroPlayer, and work on databases/spreadsheet w/various freeware/open source soft.

But for me, i'd rather rott than have a Micro$oft-based PDA.
