Bying a new hard drive

    I need to get a bigger hard drive. Internal or Exerternal? What things should I look for? What to know b4 I install? Should I keep existing hard drive or replace with new one? What is a good brand? What is this Sata and Raid stuff? Thanx.

    how big is the old drive & how many ide drives both hd & rom do you have??

    I have a 40 gb hd, and a dvd burner\rom drive. According to Everest, my hard drive is a ultra ata.

    keep the old drive & get another drive to go into the case as cheaper than external
