Ok i Currently have a sony str-800 and a samsung 19 inch moniter with dvi-d and vga on it What i want to do is hook my wii and everything to the stero then from the stero through component out to the moniter i bought a dvi-i to component cable and found out hey it wont work because it has 4 pins extra but i can get a vga version of the cable to component and was wondering if the reciver since it upconverts the compsit up will it work with my computer moniter or do I have to buy a converter box
Just so we clear what cable im trying to plug into my computer moniter is a red green and blue I can get a cable that goes from vga to it but the dvi one is dvi-i so it wont work i just want to make my computer moniter a game console moniter because i want to just run my wii through it which is red green and blue
