Cable causing Directv Sat signal interference

    i just moved mar 1st, and never had this problem before. a horizontal line moves slowly up the screen repeatedly. i noticed when i unhooked the cable line from the tv it stopped, then would continue as soon as i plugged it in??

    i put a connector on the end of the sat cable myself, could this be a reason??
    does something need to be grounded??

    I'd check that connection. The RG6 should have had a ground made on it, but it's mainly just to ground the dish. I dont think the LNB is grounded with anything other than the ground in the RG6 itself.
