    I have bought a Panasonic NV-DS50 digital. Transfering to my HDD via USB is very slow and possible for 30 sec only.

    Change the settings for time.

    Unless the camera supports USB2 you need to use firewire for the transfer.
    USB1 can't keep up with the data rate to transfer from tape.

    The transfer will take the same time as playing the tape. It transfers at 1x.
