hey there. i'm looking for a new camcorder that can record in low lights. i have a samsung scd23 camcorder - which not only records well in low light, it can even record video in complete darkness with the night vision stuff (i.e., paris hiltons video). problem is, the camcorder is not working too well - it blacks out once and awhile and is a bit unrealiable. i also can never connect it to the firewire port - but that's a whole nother thread. anyway, so I'd like to get a newer camcorder. does anybody have any recomendations for good camcordersm with lowlight/night vision?
not sure what your budget is, but the Sony DCR-HC90 has rated as one of the best consumer camcorders for recording in low light. It not only captures dim-light video in color, but also has the nightshot feature you mentioned. Good luck. Ian http://www.disneyfunsite.com/hc90.htm
