hi nahser im a newbie too but the method i use,im not saying its the best or the easiest, but it works for me. step 1.convert avi files into mpeg2's using this guide..http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegenc step 2.author your dvd using this guide..http://users.skynet.be/contra/dvddouble.htm#0 step 3.if your project is too big you can make it fit with dvd shrink, youll find the info you need for which version you use with this...http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php step 4 burn your ripped files using the guides on that dvd shrink site for your burning software you have(hopefully) nero has a trial version and i think burnatonce is free. lots of steps, yes, but easy when following the guides above. this will take you several hours depending on your system. your picture quality will be slightly less than the original avi,but not by much in my view. youll find trial versions of all need programs in the above sites,so you can see if its all worth it, before you decide to fork out the bucks. if there is completely free way to do all this,id like to know too, peeps!! please!! good luck to you jim_dandy
ok i missread your post i thought you wanted to put 2 avi files on one dvd. that second link is for two or more files on one disc, use the link at the bottom of the first guide for using dvd author for just one avi file. you wont need dvd shrink for just one file or you shouldnt anyway. good luck jim_dandy
