I've looked around and I'm sure it's on here but can't find the info, sorry...

So basically, how can I convert AVI files, very condensed, so that in their original state some 570 minutes (almost 10 hours) fits on 1 DVD into a true DVD-playable DVD with Nero? When I put it into Nero, at the lowest settings, the file is too big.

you'd need to use something like DVD Shrink, to shrink the files down to 4300MB. However you'll probably end up with eyesight like Mr Magoo as the quality will no doubt be reduced if the source files are a whopping 10hours. you're gonna have to split the AVIs or whatever to a more sensible size

Thank you. Yes, I'm familiar with DVD-Shrink and was afraid that might be the only way to go, was hoping something more direct in Nero grabbing the already-condensed AVI files.

if you have Nero's Recode you could use that, but you'll still need strong glasses to compensate for lack of quality i'd have thought :)

Thanks, no, I don't have Recode, may check it out, then.

I dunno, have to see, watching on a computer it was marginally okay, it's old VHS stuff. I know what you're saying, though.
